Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know

6. Bruce Wayne Will Pass The Cowl On

Rocksteady have already stated that Arkham Knight will be their final game in the series - it seems fitting that it might act as a farewell to Bruce Wayne too. The series is expected to carry on without Rocksteady developing (Warner Bros. Montreal developed Arkham Origins and look set to take up the series full-time) but, as they are wont to do, the British developers undoubtedly have some tricks up their sleeve to ensure their legacy is secured. Nearly every character who has played Robin is rumoured to be appearing in Arkham Knight - Tim Drake (who appeared in Arkham City as Robin), Jason Todd (as Red Hood) and Dick Grayson (as Nightwing) all seem set to appear in the game. However, another Robin is also rumoured to be making his debut to the series - Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne. That creates an interesting dynamic for Rocksteady to explore - could Damian be taking up the role of Batman for the future of the series? The Robin role is already occupied (although some speculate that Tim Drake could be the one taking up Batman's cowl if he does call it quits) so it seems logical that Batman might groom Damian to become Batman when the time is right. Admittedly, this one is a bit of a stretch; Damian only ever appeared as Batman in a one-shot storyline and the majority of his appearances featured him as a child - it's unlikely that Arkham Knight will feature an older Damian Wayne. Still, with Tim Drake and Dick Grayson lurking around, Rocksteady does have options if they wish to turn the series on it's head when departing.
