3. Lady Shiva
One of the most formidable fighters of the DC Universe, Lady Shiva would bring the perfect elements to really make the Season of Infamy earn its place on Knight's season pass. Despite having a rather lacklustre portrayal in Arkham Origins (most likely a result of a rushed development cycle), Shiva would be the perfect antagonist to utilise in order to finally end Bruce's career as Batman. Not only would Wayne's journey have come full circle (Shiva was there at the beginning of his training after all), Shiva would present a truly challenging confrontation to a Batman at the pinnacle of his career, and it'd be fantastic to see Rocksteady pull out all the stops to make her a really formidable foe. The events of Arkham City left the League of Assassins without a leader or an heir, so if R'as al Ghul is truly missing in action, it'd be an exciting premise to have Shiva takeover the reigns of the league as the new head of the demon. The problem with this of course is that Bruce is Al Ghul's true heir, so in order to consolidate her authority over the League Shiva would have to eliminate the one thing stifling her legitimacy as a leader - putting her directly in the crosshairs of the world's greatest detective. Shiva never really got the screen time she deserved in Warner Bros. Montréal's prequel, so a worthwhile expansion via DLC is more than justified.
Content Producer/Presenter
Ewan Paterson
WhatCulture's very own resident movie guy, Ewan has been working in the content creation biz for over 10 years now, having started as a freelance contributor to WhatCulture Gaming all the way back in 2015. After graduating with a First-Class Honours in History from Northumbria University in 2017 (where he won a prize for a totally killer dissertation on the Watergate years), Ewan took on the role of Comics Editor at WhatCulture and quickly developed WhatCulture Comics into one of the biggest superhero-focused channels on YouTube. He followed this with a brief hiatus at Screen Rant in 2021, where he worked across the Gaming and Film sections as a writer and editor, before returning to WhatCulture as a Senior Content Producer / Presenter in 2023. He started his own podcast, We Love Dad Movies, in 2022, and has contributed several written pieces to the Eisner-nominated comics website Shelfdust as well.
In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
