9. Alfred Returns

Rather frustratingly underused in Arkham City, Alfred never really shone as a character in the Arkhamverse until Warner Bros. Montréal placed him front and centre in Arkham Origins. Although, this does look set to change in Arkham Knight, with the loyal butler being given his first physical treatment in a Rocksteady title yet. As is often the case with Alfred, he has much to say and is usually the one character who can set Bruce straight when he makes a mistake. As Batman is being faced with almost insurmountable odds in Arkham Knight, Alfred's companionship and wisdom may be far more essential to The Dark Knight than any of the gadgets in his utility belt. "The people of Gotham need you," harkens back to the events in Arkham City, which saw Bruce jeopardise the safety of Gotham to go after Talia. No doubt Bruce will waver in Knight, but at least Alfred will be there to set him straight once more.
