Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Insane Moments You Need To Play

1. Batman Succumbs To Scarecrow?

Even though a lot of the story revolves around who exactly the 'Arkham Knight' is, the latest entry into Rocksteady's super hero juggernaut of a franchise has another huge villain to contend with. Right from the off, Scarecrow is painted as the bad guy pulling the strings in Gotham City, and any time he appears on-screen, it's bone-chilling.

The way the character is designed - complete with black, soul-less eyes - makes it even creepier to imagine losing to him, but that's something the player faces throughout when controlling Batman. Scarecrow is toying with the player, and it makes for an intriguing game of cat and mouse, especially towards the end of the story.

There's a moment that stands tall above many others on this list, and that's when Scarecrow does the unthinkable. Addressing Gotham, the villainous Dr. Crane reveals Batman's identity, thus destroying the Dark Knight's work piece by piece. It's powerful stuff, and gives the game a weight that many other blockbuster franchises lack.

If there's one thing Rocksteady have shown during their handling of the Batman license, it's that they certainly aren't afraid to shake things up and take risks. If this does prove to be the last 'Arkham' game they do, it's moment such as this which will define the series.
