Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Insane Moments You Need To Play

2. Becoming Reacquainted With The Joker

Unable to comprehend his fate, The Joker returns in Arkham Knight, but only exists in the psyche of Batman, which makes for some truly strange sequences. Being honest, even though the best-known villain in the Batman franchise was killed off in Arkham City, there was little chance Rocksteady weren't going to involve him somehow in this new title.

The way they do is quite stunning, and it's clever that the writers managed to squeeze The Joker in without him simply coming back to life or anything of the sort. Instead, he's only there to play devil's advocate with Batman, and it's pretty fascinating.

From the very first moment the character is reintroduced, explaining that he injected his diseased blood into Batman and many others, The Joker's trademark wit and dark humour helps keep the story motoring along nicely. It's eventually revealed that Batman is turning into The Joker, which is a sick plot point, and there's no denying that the 'Clown Prince' of Gotham enhances the overall experience of the game.
