Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Key Steps To Guarantee It's 2014 Game Of The Year

10. Hush Is The Arkham Knight

In an exclusive interview with Game Informer, Rocksteady have revealed that Arkham Knight isn't just a fancy title meant to catch the attention of gamers, but is actually the identity of the game's true villain. They're also saying it's an entirely new character created by DC, which realistically sounds like their attempt to redirect attention away from an inevitable surprise. Nevertheless, a statement like that probably pings a plethora of villains across minds, but only one name in particular stands out in the forefront as a logical choice. That nefarious mastermind is Thomas Elliot, best known as Bruce Wayne's childhood friend Hush. His character is a simple one, although can be highly complex in the hands of strong writers. Essentially, Hush is a jealous surgeon that wants to be Bruce Wayne. In Hush's origins, it's actually Thomas that plays a significant role in teaching Bruce some of his strategic craft. Hush was also in Arkham City as a serial killer, and is now in possession of Bruce Wayne's face plastered over his very own. Even more intriguingly, that's where the plot arc ended. Arkham Knight could be setting itself up for a game that pits Batman against arguably his greatest match in terms of strategy and combat skill. Lastly, the armour outline that Rocksteady has revealed bears some resemblance to Hush. Probably the biggest piece of evidence however, is that we know Rocksteady loves incorporating in a twist regarding who the real villain is, as evident from the mind blowing reveal of Clayface being the final boss of Arkham City.
