Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Killer Ways To Resurrect The Joker
10. We're All Mad Here!
In Arkham City, Mad Hatter got inside of Batman's head, forcing him to fight in an altered reality where Batman's cowl took on the appearance of the deranged rabbit from Donnie Darko. Needless to say, this little side quest did NOT end well for The Mad Hatter, who succumbed to a mighty knock-out blow from the Dark Knight as shown below. In Arkham Knight, Mad Hatter could be very instrumental in the "return" of The Joker. Knowing Rocksteady's track record and the announcement that this will be their last outing in the series, it's clear that they will pull out all the stops, meaning we may see the return of literally every member of Batman's rogues gallery over the course of the whole series (even Origins). Imagine Mad Hatter forcing Batman to face The Joker in a dream state or in Hatter's "altered reality." Taking a cue from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, could you imagine Batman fighting or running away from a giant-size Joker who ate a mushroom that made him grow too quickly? Better yet, what about The Joker as a deranged "Queen of Hearts"? I can't be the only one grinning at the idea of The Joker - one of the campiest characters of all-time - wielding a large axe while shrieking, "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!" It would be a nice way to bring Joker back without negating the seriousness of his death in Arkham City.
