Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Perfect Ideas For The Next Batman Game

1. Link Up With The League

With Justice League set to hit the big screen in 2017, now's as good a time as any to unleash the full pantheon of the DCU on gaming audiences as well. Despite the undeniable success of the Arkham series, fans have been clamoring for a wider representation of the DCU as a whole, and I don't think there's a single one of them that would turn down a game starring arguably the most iconic superteam in comics. Rocksteady's sleek combat system is one of the most influential aspects of the Arkham Series, so when applied to a team-based concept like the Justice League the results can only be mind-blowing - with buttons mapped for quick access to respective heroes' powers and abilities. Couple that with the branching upgrades offered by skill trees, and you've got the perfect recipe for an epic team-based game. And with the Dark Knight serving as the focal point for the narrative, there's a number of ways to bring the heroes together - an adaptation of Mark Waid's JLA: Tower Of Babel for example: an arc which saw Batman's files detailing the weaknesses of the JLA's members falling into the hands of Ra's al Ghul. It's high time for studios to start mirroring the shared universe concept from the films in video games as well, and there's simply no better way than calling in the JLA. What's your ideal Batman game, and what would you like to see next? Any stories or arcs in particular? Sound off, ladies and gentlemen. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
