Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Perfect Ideas For The Next Batman Game
6. Call In The Squad
We've all seen Batman pouncing all over Joker's cool ride in the Suicide Squad trailer, so it's obvious he's going to play a pretty important role in the 2016 film. Exactly what role that is, nobody knows - but speculation suggests that he's a "boogeyman" of sorts and that the government is desperate to learn more about him as they feel he's the key to "tracking down the supers." Framed within this context, there's a definite jumping-off point for a Suicide Squad game. We all remember the teaser at the very end of Arkham origins, don't we? With Amanda Waller holding the leash, the Squad's dancing to her tune whether or not they like it, and the prospect of a game centered around a group of supervillains trying to take down the Bat is mouth-watering to say the least - especially if played from the POV of the bad guys. A Squad-centric title could either take place within the context of an Origins sequel, or outside of the established continuity as a whole new series of it's own. After all, the fact of the matter is that life goes on, and Batman can indeed exist outside of the Arkhamverse under a new developer. David Ayer's described as the Suicide Squad film as "the Dirty Dozen with supervillains" and that's one way of summing up the tone an SS game should strive for.
