Batman Arkham Knight: 10 Storylines It Needs To Adapt
10. The Killing Joke
The Killing Joke has provided some of the most famous images of the Joker and though arguably out or aside of continuity for a long while, held one of the longest lasting ramifications of any Batman story - the crippling of Barbara Gordon, Batgirl. The Joker goes on a rampage and breaks into Commissioner Gordon's house and shoots his daughter in the gut, breaking her spine and paralyzing her from the waist down and unbeknownst The Joker, he had just taken one of his greatest foes out of the equation for a long time. He then kidnaps Gordon among others and prints them back to his deranged funhouse where only Batman can hope to rescue them before the stroke of midnight. Of course, while that is most of the plot of the story, it would be the set up for the game, or at least a mission of the game. Batman has to work his way through the henchmen, traps, and the terror of a funhouse maze run designed by the villainous Joker. There really isn't much more to talk about here - where the story might be low on playable characters and DLC it certainly has the heart of a great Batman story and has enough gravitas to keep gamers interested and invested in getting to the end.
