3. Knightfall

Knightfall has become a landmark storyline for the generation of comics readers that came up in the 90s. It occurred around the same time as the Death of Superman and aimed to accomplish a similar goal--take an iconic character out of the picture, only to have them rise and prove their own worth. The story-line is also notable for being the breakout storyline for Bane, the drug addicted, musclebound luchador who is an unlikely genius. But he's a tactician, and that's where the plot to Knightfall really comes into play, and why it would work so well as part of Arkham Knight. Throughout the story fans were treated to a Gotham gone wild overrun by the likes of the Riddler, The Joker, Mr, Zsasz, The Ventriloquist, The Mad Hatter, The Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Firefly, and Cavalier among others. There are possible levels where the mayor is kidnapped, rooftop battles, and even the possibility of playing as Robin to rescue a captured Batman from Two-Face. With a story so full of characters and an interesting and lengthy plot the opportunity for making an unprecedented gaming epic.
