Batman Arkham Knight: 10 Things That Should Be Included
6. Bigger Predator Rooms
Some of the most exciting moments in the Arkham games come from predator rooms, or locations in which Batman faces armed thugs and is forced to pick them off one by one from the shadows. They range from the ridiculously easy encounters in which Batman demolishes three subpar guards to the decently difficult rooms filled with jammer-equipped thugs who trigger an alert when taken down, and are almost always fun to play through. Another of the characteristics of predator rooms are that they frequently only contain anywhere from 3 thugs to around 9 at the absolute most. Rocksteady has already promised that up to four times the number of thugs from Arkham City can be active at once, so its not a stretch to imagine that predator rooms are about to become a lot more difficult in Arkham Knight. The developers have also shown off a new "fear takedown" in which Batman can knock out three thugs at once as long as he is unseen. This would make larger predator rooms less of a slog, therefore upping the challenge without making it unenjoyable to complete. Adding new twists similar to thugs carrying mines and disruptors would also go a long way towards keeping the formula fresh.
I'm a fan of all things comic book and an avid moviegoer. Trying to catch up on a never-ending backlog of films- maybe someday. Leave me a comment if you enjoy my articles, think I'm a hack, or anywhere in between.
