Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Things It Must Learn From Origins

6. Have A Good Voice Cast

If there was anything fans were worried about prior to Origins' release, it was the change in voice actors. To focus on Batman's earlier days, WB Montréal decided to recast the roles of Batman and Joker, gifting us with the now much revered performances of Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker respectively. All other cast members put in admirable performances as some of Batman's most iconic characters, and even Robert Costanzo reprised his role of Harvey Bullock from Batman: The Animated Series - a much loved character from a show universally adored by legions of bat-fans across the globe. Without jumping to conclusions about the acting ability of Knight's cast, there are some notable flaws in the line delivery that has been released so far. Though utterly legendary, some of Kevin Conroy's lines in the recent gameplay demo were less than exemplary, with some just coming off as being overly stiff and wooden. Unable to avoid stepping on the toes of many a Breaking Bad fan, Rocksteady's decision to recast Gordon has been a poor one, with the weary commissioner now sounding completely disinterested from the events taking place in the city. Combined with some awkward writing, Knight's cast could either make or break its ability to convey a truly epic Batman tale - something Origins did with great ease.
