3. Boss Battles
Despite a stellar confrontation with Mr Freeze in Arkham City, boss battles in Rocksteady's two Arkham entries struggled to match the overall quality the series was known for. Origins on the other hand, gave a varied set of boss encounters that were both enjoyable and challenging. Though Mr Freeze's boss battle shows that Rocksteady are moving in the right direction, the fact that WB Montréal were able to create a good variety of bosses in their first Batman title shows that it's not a difficult goal to achieve. Arkham Knight can't rely on glorified 'Titan' thugs to pad out the good boss encounters there are, and a focus on 'Batmobile bosses' would be anything but beneficial to the Arkham formula. Rocksteady still have to master these key fights - taking a look at Origins would help make that learning experience much easier.
