The single, biggest complaint from fans of the series is undoubtedly the lacklustre boss battles. As good as the combat is, no world record breaking combo came close to the first encounter with Mr. Freeze. The Joker at the end of Arkham Asylum was a complete let down and while Killer Grundy and Bane tried to mix it up, it still resulted in poorly constructed set plays. Rocksteady need to improve the boss battles. After all, Batman is not a killer or brute. He doesn't enjoy pummelling guys to a pulp, it's simply part of the job to get to the big time villains. At least some boss battles in Arkham Knight should require timing, tactics and skill like Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze and Firefly. No more quick timed event nonsense or titan style melees. We want battles that keep you on edge and constantly thinking exactly like Mr. Freeze in the second game. Now is the time to best that epic encounter. Batman: Arkham Knight has game of the year written all over it. The combat, story and graphics look and sound incredible and with the extra few months of polish, Rocksteady should end their series on the highest of highs. Here's hoping it's an epic.
