Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Ways To Live Up To The Hype
2. Easter Eggs And Sub-Plot Stories
Rocksteady sure know how to treat their fans. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are packed with amazing cameos, riddles, inmate interviews and canon filled lore but it's the ingenious Easter eggs that really add an extra dimension to this fantastic series. Who will forget the first time they stumbled upon Ra's al Ghul's disappearing body bag in the morgue or the pregnancy tests in the Harley Quinn DLC? Rocksteady were so crafty when hiding clues, it took gamers three years to find Arkham Asylums biggest one and to this day, Arkham City still hides what Rocksteady have called 'a game-changing clue' for future titles. There's practically thousands with nods to actors who have played parts in the DC universe to TV references and time specific events which trigger new cut-scenes. Talk about fan service. Arkham Knight will have the biggest playground yet and while fans might have been frustrated that it was delayed for a few months, it bodes well that Rocksteady are trying to pack in as much content as possible while also keeping their superbly detailed worlds intact. Most importantly, Rocksteady needs to tie up all loose threads that gamers pulled in the last two games including Nightwing, Bane, Hush and Deadshot. And of course; Azreal. The foreboding background appearances by Azreal eventually led to the revelation that destruction lay ahead for the Dark Knight in ways he couldn't even imagine. The gloomy prophecy demands an answer, so here's hoping it's not simply glossed over.
