Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Ways To Live Up To The Hype
3. More Character Interaction
It would be impossible for Rocksteady to build a fully populated world seeing as gamers would more than likely cause mayhem and death on every corner which in turn, would kind of make a joke of Batman's no kill rule. The story has always handled this problem well and for most it's a non issue but that doesn't mean Gotham City needs to be a lonely place for the Dark Knight to explore by himself. Thugs and helpless victims are a solid distraction but Arkham Knight should feature a host of interactive set pieces throughout the world. It would be cool for gamers to be able to interact with various characters you encounter throughout the game - be it side missions or plot driven scenarios. Exploring the Batcave or Wayne Manor whilst chatting to Alfred as he goes about his day would heighten the experience of becoming Batman. Maybe get a call every now and again from Jim Gordon or Robin as you make your way through the story or come across a robbery or even see Catwoman beat up some thugs. We know that Arkham Knight will feature more playable characters than just Batman with Harley Quinn and Red Hood confirmed as DLC but hopefully that's not all the developers have planned. Catwoman almost stole the show in Arkham City and provided an excellent interlude while Batman took a back seat and having an extra character with her own missions, story and exploration methods made playing as her an absolute blast. Arkham Knight should feature a series of interconnected stories all within the main plot, not just bonus characters for challenge maps.
