Batman Arkham Knight: 13 Ultimate Wishlist Features That Need To Happen

1. A Satisfying Conclusion

Rocksteady's Arkham Knight will be remembered for many things: finally giving us the Batmobile and putting us behind the wheel, putting Batman inside his fully armored suit, showing us a Harley Quinn post-Joker's death, and unleashing a brand new villain into the Arkhamverse. But all of this, and certainly there's more to come, will be all for not if they cannot get the most important part of the final game absolutely right: a fitting and satisfying conclusion to this epic Arkham legend. And this could be done in a variety of ways, but first keep in mind Rocksteady has been completely off the grid about their next project following Arkham Knight. They refuse to let anyone know what their next step is, and with the launch of next-gen consoles, you can bet that their next move will be something just as ground-breaking as Arkham Asylum was when it was launched in 2009. Maybe it will be another Arkham game; while unlikely, maybe that's why they are not talking about what's next for them. Or could it be a Batman vs. Superman tie-in game to coincide with the release of the next Man of Steel film? Or is it possibly a stand-alone Superman game, being created much in the same vein that Arkham Asylum was 5 years ago for the Batman game? Or maybe it is a long-anticipated Justice League game? Whatever their next step is, Rocksteady must close out their Arkham series in grand fashion, and getting the final story right is the key to all their success, both now and as the future looks back on this franchise. The creators of this great string of games must put the right story into play to bring a satisfying conclusion to this series. But what is that story? Is it something complete with a Superman cameo, coming in with an assist to help end the game, or do the other heroes stay away all together, allowing Rocksteady and The Dark Knight to end things on their own terms? Whatever their decision (and the ultimate conclusion) is, it's sure to be a fitting ending. Rocksteady has not led us astray with their Arkham franchise thus far, their storytelling has been both tight and focused in both previous Arkham entries. But without legendary Batman scribe Paul Dini lending a hand with this final entry, it's anyone's guess as to how this epic story finally plays out - and if it will be an ending truly worthy of Rocksteady's reputation... and for The Dark Knight himself.
