Batman: Arkham Knight - 8 Essential Things It Must Fix From City

7. The Fetch Quests

The barren nature of Arkham City was exacerbated by its mission design that usually forced you to travel to multiple locations. In an early mission of the game The Penguin sets up three jammers around the city that prevent Batman from using his trusty cryptographic sequencer. You have to follow the signal, fight the enemies guarding the jammers, destroy them and then go back to where you originally were. If that sounds boring, it's because it is. Sadly The Penguin mission is far from the only fetch quest in the game. What's worse is that they usually make you do exactly the same thing three times because for some reason that's the law in video game land. In Arkham Knight we'd like to see more creative mission objectives. This is Batman, after all. He's capable of much more than going to a place, beating up some enemies, picking up or breaking something just so he can go to a new area and do the exact same thing.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
