5. Harley Quinn Can Take His Place

One of the most enticing prospects of of keeping The Joker dead is that it opens the door wide open for other revered villains to step up and claim a major role. And who better to give a much larger role and further develop as a character than The Joker's squeeze; his equally psychotic and demented girlfriend Harley Quinn? Unfortunately, it has already been confirmed that Rocksteady will not be moving forward with the plot point of Harley having gotten pregnant, which was teased as an Easter Egg in Arkham City.It would've been a great and organic way to further develop a story centred on The Joker, but scrapping the idea doesn't mean there's nothing left for Harley to do. All Rocksteady needs to do is write her as a strong character that is hellbent on avenging 'Mistah J'. If the writers can really play up the fact that Batman took from her the only person she ever really cared about, it could add some complexity and sympathy to her character, despite the nefarious antics she is sure to commit throughout the game.
