Batman: Arkham Knight - 8 Reasons The Joker Should Stay Dead

6. Mark Hamill Has Moved On

Before getting into the meat of this entry, this isn't a way of saying Troy Baker delivered a disappointing performance in Arkham Origins. The verdict is actually quite the contrary; he wowed gamers and comic book fans alike, and was the sole redeeming factor of Joker once again weaselling his way into the spotlight. It also made sense to get different voice actors for a prequel that€™s purpose was exploring these characters in their rookie years. Meanwhile, it's already confirmed that Kevin Conroy is returning to voice The Caped Crusader in this climactic trilogy capper. Essentially, it just wouldn't feel right without Mark Hamill reprising his role once more too. That isn't going to happen however, as Mark Hamill has gone on record stating that Arkham City€™s portrayal was his final performance as, and honestly, it's a grand performance to go out on. Nothing more needs to be said or added. It's also worth noting that this isn't the first time that Mark Hamill has stated that he was done voicing The Joker only to cave and do so again, but this time he really seems done. And realistically, maybe it's time for him to give that character an eternal rest.
