Batman: Arkham Knight – 9 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do

8. Change Batman's Fighting Stance & Finishing Slam

Everyone dog-piles on Arkham's combat being 'too much of the same', which is only as true as the player's lack of experimentation with the new moves on offer. Double counters and charged gadget takedowns are one thing, but another is simply holding the right trigger when you're delivering your usual combos to change Batman's fighting animations on the fly. Chances are in associating the trigger with stealth, your finger goes nowhere near it in a scrap, but holding it down and then attacking changes Batman's stance to accommodate more low-hitting attacks in his animations - all looking positively brilliant in motion. You can use this to wail on any downed enemies too, and providing you count your hits and don't knock them out with the last blow, switching from your primary attack to the stun button (so RT+O/B) will make Batman lift the perp up and slam them back down for the knockout.
