1. Villains
This plays into the whole idea of a new perspective on this game from different creators, but how awesome do these perspectives look so far? The answer is, well, awesome. The Joker looks to have a youthful spring in his step again, and Bane is pre-Titan enhancements, with a very gritty new look. Judging from the snippets of footage we have seen so far, I think it's fair to say that we are in for a real treat of assassins trying to kill us. The voice work alone has me very eager to see what our villains have in store for the Caped Crusader. An interesting change of pace from the previous games is also that fact that The Joker doesn't seem to be the primary villain this time around. Of course, he will a significant part in the game - it's The Joker after all! - but this time, it's Black Mask with the master scheme (well, if you call hiring 8 assassins to take out the Bat a master scheme...) Anyway, this game looks set to feature appearances from more lesser-known villains; Firefly, for example, is a villain I'm sure the casual Batman fan wouldn't have heard of before. However, his particular appearance looks set to be one of the best boss battles/set-pieces in the entire game. All things considered, I do feel extremely confident that this game will deliver and be a worthy addition to the Arkham franchise. I'm sure I am only one of many who has already pre-ordered the Collector's Edition, and am looking more forward to the release date with each passing day. Are you getting Arkham Origins next month?
