Batman: Arkham Reboot 2020 - 15 Leaked Details You're Not Supposed To Know
1. Nemesis System From Middle-Earth Games To Be Included
One of the greatest innovations in recent gaming memory comes from The Middle Earth Shadow games, and that is the Nemesis system.
It's amazing that this hasn't been copied more than it has so far. The Nemesis system is a gameplay mechanic that causes certain enemies in the game to become targets you must go after. Each are uniquely devised, complete with their own weaknesses and strengths.
It also takes into account your previous actions, meaning enemies can remember you depending on how you attacked them previously.
If rumours are to be believed, Warner Bros. Montreal is adopting this system into Batman Arkham Legacy and tying it into the aforementioned factions of Gotham.
The idea behind this system would be the Bat-Family systematically removing criminals from around the city, weakening factions and loosening their hold over Gotham and it's citizens.
It's an exciting prospect for the Arkham series and it could quite easily tie into side missions involving the various villains of Batman who aren't necessarily the big bads in this one. You could take down grunts and lieutenants of the supervillains to weaken them, and it holds a lot of possibilities for exciting gameplay options.
