Batman: Arkham Reboot 2020 - 15 Leaked Details You're Not Supposed To Know
12. Day/Night Cycle
One rumour that hit the web in 2019 is that the Batman Arkham reboot may include a day/night cycle.
This may not actually be the most plausible of rumours. Batman traditionally mostly only operates at night, as he'd stick out like a sore thumb wandering around in broad daylight. Perhaps some daytime missions could take place in indoor settings, or feature gameplay as actual Bruce Wayne and the extended Bat family outside of their superhero clothes?
This approach was recently done in Spider-Man (PS4) where you had some downtime between swinging acrobatics to hang out with Aunt May and company before the next big-bad reared its ugly head.
It would actually be really cool to explore Wayne Manor, have a chat with Alfred, take stock of the situation, be all brooding with other members of the Bat Family - and then hop down to the Batcave to suit up and head out into the wider world of Gotham at night.
Kinda like a Lara's Mansion level from the original Tomb Raider, but with more interactivity, secrets to find and greater emphasis on story.
If this wasn't the case and daytime Gotham becomes explorable, this brings about the problem of how to deal with NPCs, and how Batman/the Bat-family won't be able to hurt them.
