Batman: Arkham Trilogy - 15 Insanely Cool Easter Eggs You Totally Missed

3. Batman's Secret Investigation

Game: Arkham Knight

Along with the story expansion ‘The Season of Infamy’ and a long list of variant costumes, the DLC for Arkham Knight included several new combat and predator maps. In the final challenge pack, some of the popular maps from Asylum and City were remastered and added to Knight, including the Wayne Manor map. The map looked and played just as it did in City, except for one massive difference.

A piano in one of the rooms could be interacted with (that itself being a reference to the film Batman Begins, as this was Batman’s method of entering the Batcave), and resulted in the wall opening and revealing a hidden whiteboard. This board contained notes regarding what appeared to be an investigation Batman was conducting, with notes on the board including ‘Find the witness’, ‘Did Penguin know?’ and ‘Whose cell?’.

Along with the notes, an image of a door with the numbers ‘4-25’ above it sparked excitement amongst the fans who did manage to find this Easter egg. Some thought it was teasing yet another hidden room somewhere in the game, whilst others recognised the date, April 25th, as the date the Batman #1 comic book was released in 1939.

(POTENTIAL SPOILER FOR ARKHAM VR BELOW)

It now seems that the cell number 4-25 has something to do with the events of the newly-released Arkham VR game on PlayStation 4.
