5. War Pigeons Brilliantly Reinvents Capture The Flag

Arguably the most ludicrously enjoyable new mode is War Pigeons, a Capture-the-Flag-esque mode where teams attempt to keep hold of a pigeon long enough to write a message that calls in an artillery strike on the opposing team.

While the likes of Conquest and Operations are more epic and slow-paced, War Pigeons points all players towards a single target, resulting in a marvellously intense push-and-pull that's much more fast-moving than most other modes.

The tension and frantic insanity add up to make a potentially silly mode a boatload of fun, somewhat ridiculous though it is.
