Battlefield 4: 3 Critical Mistakes to Avoid

3. Don't Release The Game Early

This is the biggest one. Battlefield 3 had so many broken or missing elements on launch that took months to fix. Commo-rose, constant weapon tweaking, which broke more than the fixed when patched, and joystick support all needed fixing at launch. After the launch of Back to Karkand, all Australian servers on PS3 disappeared for 6 months, making the game unplayable. EA's solution was to make players pay for servers. Even now, Battlefield 3 isn't perfect, and while some of the glitches are due to the new engine (at least that's the official excuse), but some things haven't been addressed properly. Flashlights are a good example. BF3 needed more dev time, but was released too early to try and beat Modern Warfare 3. NEVER AGAIN. The changes required from the beta to retail were drastic and it's obvious DICE ran out of time. Fans will like a better game as opposed to an early one every time. Earth worms! So there's 3 things BF4 should avoid. I loved BF3 but couldn't help shake these issues. Hopefully DICE remedies them for the next outing. What did you think? Let us know down below.

I live in Australia, love to write and play games. So what better than writing about games? I love all things action and fantasy, as well as my occasional shooter. I literally cannot wait for GTAV!
