Battlefield 5 Battle Royale: Everything We Know So Far

Battlefield 5's release date recently got pushed back. Rather than October 19, the game will now release on November 20 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One users. However, don't expect Firestorm to be part of the game on launch.

DICE employee Ben Walke revealed on Reddit that EA DICE aren't actually the ones developing the mode, with a separate studio tasked with Firestorm's creation.

The company have also stated that Firestorm will not be in the game upon release, but will instead be added further down the line.

No release date for Firestorm has yet been revealed, but it must be a priority for EA, especially with the huge popularity of these kinds of games, as well as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 being released in October and having its own Battle Royale mode too, so gamers will be hoping they won't have to wait too long to test it out.

Fortunately, whenever Firestorm does get released, we won't have to pay any extra cash for it. Having learnt a few lessons from Star Wars Battlefront II, EA and DICE decided to ensure that all future content for Battlefield 5 will be given to all players, free of charge.
