Battlefield V: 12 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You

3. The Difference Between Auto And Manual Healing

In their attempt to make firefights even more intense in Battlefield V, DICE have completely revamped how health works. Now, you don't simply recover HP by jumping into cover, but instead have to manually heal by pressing up and using the one health pack every player gets (no matter the class) when they spawn.

However, there is still automatic healing to an extent. When you've taken damage, you can check how much HP you have left at the bottom of the screen, and you may notice a dark red section along with the bright red that represents your remaining vitality. It's a little confusing, but this darker amount is actually how much you can regenerate by simply waiting and jumping into cover.

Consequently, you don't always have to use that rare pack of bandages you spawn with after your first firefight. If there's enough dark red health left, it might be better saving the healing item for when you need a bigger (and quicker) boost.

Knowing when to automatically heal and when to wait, then, becomes essential in being prepared for any encounter, as does making sure you have bandages on you at all times.
