Before GTA V: 10 Hardest Missions From Games Gone By

7. Burning Desire

BurningDesire Officer Tenpenny and his gang of corrupt cops aren't very nice people, and aren't ones to be messed with, either. As Tenpenny tells CJ at the beginning of the "Burning Desire" mission in San Andreas: "We own you. You're ours. We can sh*t on you from such a height, you'll think God himself has crapped on you." (By the way, anyone else pick up on the diner reference?) Anyway, Tenpenny wants you to go take care of, as he puts it, a "gang-banging, drug-pushing, cop-killing bi*ch holed up in a building in East Los Santos that doesn't like them." It's then up to CJ to pick up some Molotov cocktails that have been stashed away for him to collect, and take care of business, by killing Vagos gangsters outside the complex and then by throwing the explosives through the windows of the building, killing all inside. The plan seems to work, the building is on the verge of burning to the ground and the target is rendered nothing more than a crumpled pile of ash, easy enough, right? Ah, but there's a snag - you've trapped future girlfriend Denise Robinson inside, who is stuck on the top floor, and you have to save her! Now you have to race inside the building and, with severely limited vision because of all the smoke, find the staircase for upstairs, grab a fire extinguisher, and get to Denise before her health bar empties and she dies. This one is difficult purely because you can't see two feet in front of you from all the smoke, and the race against the clock can be stressful if you can't figure out where you're going.
