3. Online Multiplayer
As youre probably already aware, GTA IV is the only game in the franchise that boasts its own official online multiplayer mode. Sure, the PC versions of previous titles have been modded to allow online multiplayer, but if youre a console guy like myself, how does that help you? So, should you be pretty much confined to your 360 or you PS3, GTA IV is the only game that really allows you to keep playing after youve finished the single player campaign. And it doesnt just feature an online multiplayer mode, it features an absolutely awesome online mode, one which I still play to this very day and probably wont put down until the moment GTA V renders it obsolete. This is one of the reasons I must call GTA IV my favourite in the series; in terms of sheer hours played, it completely eclipses any of the previous titles.
