5. Most Wanted
Vigilante, activated through police vehicles, was always one of the most irritating R3 missions, unless carried out in a tank or fighter jet. Thankfully, GTA4 reinvented the concept, allowing players to look up criminals on a police computer and attempt to take them down in true bounty hunter fashion. It hardly balances out the crimes committed by players on storyline missions, but the ability to operate on the other side of the law is surprisingly underutilised by the games industry. GTA5s concept of multiple player characters could be made interesting (though it would seem unlikely) if one was affiliated with law enforcement and involved in hunting down the others, allowing for a branching storyline more comprehensive than the one featured in GTA4.
