4. Spontaneous Vehicle Explosions
One of the most unrealistic tropes in fiction is how cars will readily explode when peppered with a few bullets. Puncturing both sides of a fuel tank to allow the right amount of oxygen to react is an almost impossible shot in real life, but is surprisingly common in films, television and video games, including the Grand Theft Auto series. When the players car becomes engulfed in flames, its usually not too much of a problem (unless a mission only allows the use of one particular vehicle for the duration, such as the already mentioned ambulance and firefighter subquests), as there is generally enough time to bail out or stop the car and flee the scene. It becomes a rage-inducing problem when an enemy combatant manages to hit the vehicles gas tank with just one bullet, obliterating it and the players character within it.
