Before GTA V: 5 Things Everyone Does On Grand Theft Auto Games

4. Just Driving Around

Dukes-GTA4-front Do you want to play GTA but you've finished the story missions, or just can't be bothered to do the next one? Then one of your options was to just drive. Steal a car (you never owned any of your own), lose the heat if you had any and set out on the open road whilst flicking through the radio stations. If you were really bored, then you'd even try driving like a normal person and not a maniac. But stopping at the red lights got a little tedious after a few times. Every now and then, you'd attempt the same thing walking, or in a boat or helicopter. There was no traffic, so the open sea or air would mean you could drive how you liked. But for a real challenge, drive your boat as far out from the island as you could or jump out of a helicopter and then swim back to shore. Were you able to make it back to shore without loading up your last save file? This was definitely the most fun in GTA San Andreas, as you would be able to take your car through so many different kinds of areas in the vast sandbox world. Driving all the way around the map listening to Toto's "Hold the Line" on K-DST is an everlasting memory for me. How about you?
