2. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Building on the undoubted success of its predecessor, Vice City took us back to 1986, and provided various homages to Scarface and Miami Vice, leaving players of a certain age with a certain sense of nostalgia. With a popular soundtrack, memorable characters and a vibrant, colourful setting, the 2002 title was an instant hit, and received critical acclaim across the board. Mostly praised for its entertaining depiction of 1980s culture, Vice City remarkably only took 11 months to make (which seems remarkable in light of the wait for GTA V), and provided an easy-on-the-eye setting after the gritty Liberty City in GTA III. Vice City undoubtedly bettered GTA III, and it could be argued that Vice City is the best in the series, and some people are of that opinion, but for me, the number one slot can only go to one game
