Biomutant: 7 Incredible Features That Will Blow You Away

6. The Crafting System Is Immense

And we mean that quite literally.

After just a few hours of gameplay, your tiny terror of a protagonist is going to not only be covered in the blood and adorable guts of your enemies, but also be slogging around a metric shedload of gear that you've either salvaged from ruined cities and encampments, traded for with vendors that can be found roaming the world, or from the cold dead hands of those who dared to call you "cute".

And seeing as outside of specific zones which require you to wear certain items to avoid choking to death or freezing solid, you'll not need the thirty or so dirty pairs of trousers you've fished from a bin.

So why not break them down into base elements and begin making your current gear even better?

Each item you pick up will have not only a rundown of the stats and buffs it provides, but will also show you how many "add-ons" you can stitch and sow into them.

These slots allow you to put extra padding on your armour, provide elemental resistances, or better still, allow you to completely customise your weapons making them deadlier and often genuinely terrifying to look at.

For example, that two-handed great blade not whomping hard enough? Weld some rusty nails to it!

Are your guns feeling a little limp? Well, an expanded magazine and a dual muzzle that kicks out twice the amount of bullets will help.

Seriously, there are so many different items to wear, collect, break and craft that it's insane to think how much time the devs spent on this.

Jules Gill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
