Bioshock Infinite: 8 Reasons Why It's Incredible

3. Zachary Hale Comstock

Comstock Zachery Hale Comstock is your main antagonistic force throughout the game and is the 'Prophet of Columbia'. Like Andrew Ryan before him, Comstock is the leader of an impossible yet fantastical city with an absolute belief system. However, unlike Ryan who is a nationless objectivist, Comstock is a celebrator of American Traditionalism. Driven by incredibly strong religious views, he believes he can see into the future. Having made the prophecy that his daughter Elizabeth will one day take the throne of Columbia to reign fire down onto a sodomistic America below, it is one you will see can become a very real reality without your help Comstock becomes closely tied to the narrative and even remains integral to the conclusion of the game, right up to the last seconds. I shan't go into that here, but the power of Comstock as a lasting video game villain will be on how fans take the ending of the game.
