Black Ops 2: Is Call Of Duty Just For Idiots?

Conclusion

While Modern Warfare 3 upset a lot of Call of Duty fans, and those who enjoyed the game, like myself, but who would never actively call themselves a fan, and despite accusations that the franchise is on its last legs, Black Ops II is a very good game. Yes, it has its problems, chiefly in the occasionally undercooked campaign, but the game offers more than enough to suggest that there is still more than enough life left in the series, and that the next generation of consoles will see further commercially successful COD titles. Because based on the strengths of this game, fans will once more look forward to the next release. So, are we all idiots for enjoying the game? Is Activision at the head of a conspiracy to buy good reviews for their games to dupe the gaming community into shelling out for their latest under-developed annual COD DLC? No, of course we aren't and of course they aren't (I certainly haven't seen any of that money) - even though it is not sufficient to suggest that the massive sales figures imply quality, the reviews don't lie, and Black Ops II will go down for some sites as one of the finest FPS titles of the year. And that's in a market that is a million miles past saturation. As long as almost every point that the so-called haters bring up to suggest that Black Ops II fans are idiots can be addressed intelligently, it seems ludicrous to suggest that their opinions of the COD playing community are correct. So no, in short, Call of Duty is not just for idiots. And shame on you for thinking as much, if you do. Call of Duty: Black Ops II is out now.
