The CoD games aren't exactly known for their subtlety, but they took their typical sledgehammer approach to subtext to a whole other level during the Lotus Towers attack, as the player finds themselves faced with black crows throughout the mission, the most obvious symbol of death and foreboding possible. It doesn't seem to have much more of a meaning here than "bad s*** is about to go down", which given that you're in the midst of a freaking revolution, is pretty damn obvious anyway. It's more eye-rollingly heavy-handed than creepy or ominous, unless you're 10 years old and have never heard of the trope...
9. Killing A Guy With A Vent Cover
The assault takes you through the vent system, leading to one of the all-time best kill moves in the entire franchise, as you kick open a vent cover with all your might, sending it flying into the room below you and taking out one unlucky fool, whose general torso gets a major dose of blunt force trauma. Yes, it's completely insane that any soldier, even augmented, could kick it that far, but hey, it looks insanely cool, and that's what matters in CoD, right?
