Bloodborne: 5 Reasons For Dark Souls Fans To Be Ecstatic

5. The Awesome Music

Many of the boss fights featured in the Dark Souls games are almost overwhelmingly impressive. A lot of this is down to the strenuous gameplay, and the incredible art design of the huge bosses themselves. However, one of the largest elements that really lends to the 'feel' of a proper, intense Dark Souls boss fight is the music. Facing off against a seemingly unbeatable foe is made even more epic by the weird, otherworldly soundtrack of the Souls games. It's not just the fights that are drastically improved by the music either. Players of the PS3-exclusive Demons Souls will fondly remember the sanctuary that was the Nexus, and the calming music that would play while in the game's one and only safe zone. Fortunately for Dark Souls fans, it looks like Bloodborne isn't set to disappoint on this front. Judging from the music featured in the trailer, it looks like the game will once again see Motoi Sakuraba working with From Software as lead composer. Bloodborne will need to craft it's own unique identity, but we can't deny that we're happy to see From Software isn't doing away with the ethereal music that is so closely linked with the Souls games.
