Bloodborne: Ranking Every Area From Worst To Best
18. Forbidden Woods
The Forbidden Woods is a massive mess of snakes. This place is HUGE. Now the size wouldn't be an issue on its own, but it just so happens that this gargantuan tangle of trees is the hardest area to navigate in the game.
The idea of a forrest area is a welcome contrast to the rest of Bloodborne's gothic design and the first half has moments of merit, but one would expect an area of this size to feel more significant to the overall story.
The snake enemies go from irritating to boring as you FINALLY stumble onto the boss. If you die (which you will) it takes a good few minutes to make your way back, even when using the incredibly hidden shortcuts.
Nice idea, poor execution.
