Call Of Duty Ghosts: 10 Ridiculous Launch Stories You Won't Believe

6. Copy And Paste Animations

Call of Duty receives a whopping amount of vocal backlash with each annual release; it€™s something that just comes with the territory of being one of the most financially successful products of all time. That hatred is amplified exponentially when the franchise in question is also a more casual experience that has a target goal of enticing everyone from gamers to non-gamers to get in on the action. Sometimes the remarks are justified and other times they are completely asinine built on nothing but blind hatred for the franchise. So which end of the spectrum does this particular case fall on? Being perfectly honest, I can understand where the criticism is coming from considering this is literally a reused cut-scene animation but with different environments and characters. At the same time however, they€™re also clearly reusing sound effects and whatnot and I€™ve yet to see anyone complain about that. Also, let€™s not pretend that Infinity Ward is the only developer out there taking these shortcuts in yearly installments of games. Is this image amusing? Definitely, but as someone who€™s played every Call of Duty campaign, this just isn€™t something I noticed before having visual evidence. It€™s a very minimal complaint that really affects nothing in the end unless you€™re actively looking for any stick to poke the franchise with. There are more problematic issues with the game than a reused 2 second animation, but because Call of Duty is the juggernaut it is, this comes across as unforgivable and another sign that Activision is secretly Lucifer.
