Call Of Duty Ghosts: 8 Reasons We're All Sick Of Annual Instalments

6. Enemy Forces Are Nort------- - The Lag

Call of Duty Black Ops If you're going to release a game year after year that relies heavily on connecting players together on the internet, it might be a good idea to ensure that aren't any major problems that will ensue. Instead, players are treated to various connection issues as well as many people reporting games being interrupted due to host migration. Mark Rubin, the executive producer at Infinity Ward claimed that players would have access to "a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers" and promised dedicated servers for not only the next gen consoles, but for PC and current gen consoles. Infinity Ward seem to have the mindset that once a game has hit the shelves, no more input is needed from them and they can begin working on the next travesty in the cash cow cycle. The developers behind Battlefield on the other hand understand exactly what the players need, allowing people to purchase space on dedicated servers to play on-line matches, all hosted of course by DICE, this practice wasn't introduced though until after Battlefield 3 was released with DICE hosting games directly through their servers before then.
