8. Theatre Mode
For those players who like to show off their kills, the good news is that as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will feature a re-vamped theater mode with new features like one-button editing, robust meta-data, more versatile camera control among others, all designed to make capturing and sharing your kills as easily as possible. The new revamped meta-date system atones for the problems of Theater Mode in the first Call of Duty: Black Ops which had some serious technical problems such as the difficulty in finding specific matches due to the lack of data. In place of the bland lists of information, Treyarch have introduced thumbnails for each recorded match, as well as listing appropriate meta-data such as the game mode, time and date stamps and scores among others. This new feature will allow gamers to find, classify and share the footage they want to, without the headache of searching through unhelpful listings. Treyarch have also included an Up/Down voting system to allow fans and players to get their favourite clips to the top of the page. The editing system is now a lot more simple, and allows you to edit with just one button thanks to the new Highlight Reel function, which allows you to select your video you want and hit the Highlight Reel option - this will then allow the game to select the best kills (rated in a new five stat system) from the footage and splice them together with different camera angles and dynamic camera movements. All of the entertainment with less of the fuss of editing. There's also the option to attach a camera to specific objects on the battlefield, to create unique and creative shots to impress your friends and fellow players. The new features will appeal to both "real" filmmakers and casual players you just want to show off their kills.
