Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta - 12 Things You Need To Know

6. The Maps Are Pretty Terrific

The BO3 beta may only come equipped with three maps (with the final number likely being 13 or 14), but if they're any indication of the full line-up, then BO3 should serve as a welcome follow-up to the brilliantly inventive map selection featured in Advanced Warfare. If Evac is easily the most forgettable of the bunch, Combine provides a ton of opportunities for players to boost around and wall-run, while Hunted is an epic, sprawling map with the aforementioned underwater combat possibilities. They might not be outright classics on the level of something like Terminal, but they provide plenty of hope that BO3's map selection won't be as blandly forgettable as, say, Ghosts. Fingers crossed that Treyarch listen to fans and return at least one small, gimmicky map to the line-up too, though given that this is BO3, fans will mostly be majorly disappointed if the much-rumoured Nuketown 2065 isn't in the mix.
