Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 - 8 Infuriating Issues Treyarch Must Fix

4. Lobby Balancing

As Call of Duty has long-been the world's multiplayer game (after FIFA, anyway), so to has the general level of skill across the board increased. Good COD players are like human supercomputers, and that assumed level of skill is what puts many newcomers off - not to mention returning casual fans have to either "git gud" or learn to love the "Defeat" screen.

Case in point though: Matchmaking.

In a bid to get around the fact that not all "5s" (for example) will actually be that level of skill (because they might have Prestige'd multiple times in past games), Black Ops 4 throws in a HUGE array of players, ranging from single digits up to 40 and beyond.

Put simply, it results in a lot of frustration. Whether it be through checking our collective gamertags or asking the player how many past CODs they've played, there should be such a thing as a "beginner's lobby", all the way through to the top-tier of play.

It just feels bizarre to know there are expert players being matched with genuine beginners, and vice versa. Oftentimes you're up against players that are ten times your level, and it doesn't help that Call of Duty fails at communicating what you could've done better upon a loss, leaving no room for active improvement.

Something has to be done.
