Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 - 8 Infuriating Issues Treyarch Must Fix
5. Spawns Are A Bit... Off
It must be a nightmare on the game's side, trying to discern where in an area is "safe" to spawn a player. At any given time everyone is acting of their own free will, meaning they could pivot and wander into the exact section of a map that was previously "safe".
However, something about Black Ops 4's spawns feel notably cheap. Reports abound across the fandom as to how players are appearing in enemy zones, are warping into existence right behind or in front of them, or worst of all, they drop right into a hail of bullets.
This issue gets markedly worse depending on specific maps and match types, too. Objective modes seem to have it the worst, as you can quickly get boxed into a section where repeated spawns don't give you any chance to survive, plonking you right back in the line of fire after a death.
Like the hit detection issue (that I'll get to later), it's astonishing to be this far into the franchise's life cycle and not have this stuff ironed out.
