Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Review - 8 Ups & 4 Downs

2. Specialist HQ Is A Compelling Single-Player Addition

While Black Ops 4 doesn't feature a traditional campaign, there is a smattering of single-player content in the form of Specialist HQ.

Effectively an extended tutorial for each of the Specialist types, HQ walks players through all the Specialist abilities against CPU enemies while revealing the backstories for each Specialist via glossy, well-crafted cinematics.

While you probably won't spend more than 4-ish hours working through the 10 Specialist tutorials on offer, it's still a neat aside to the bulk of the content on offer, even if it's absolutely not an adequate replacement for an actual campaign.

Considering Specialist HQ could've just been a listless parade of dull tutorials, Treyarch deserves modest praise for lending them such a glossy presentation.
