2. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Modern Warfare 2 is the perfect answer to those who question the logic of an If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It approach to game development. It already had a ridiculously strong foundation thanks to the first Modern Warfare game, and a huge overhaul was never going to be on the cards.
Adding more, fine-tuning what didn't quite work and changing the single-player campaign mode was all that needed to be done, as well as adding new multiplayer maps and gameplay elements. They delivered, hitting a one-two that cemented them as the best development team working on COD.
A lot of people will only ever remember the campaign for No Russian and its controversy, but that would be a reductive view. Sure, it was provocative (the message in there got a little lost), but it was only one part of a varied story with lots of twists and some of the most memorable COD maps ever.
